PREVENTION, hosted by ABC Medical Editor Dr. Timothy Johnson.

Her national offering for public television, BREAST CANCER STRENGTH AND COURAGE, captured an Emmy for Best Informational Program.

In addition to health issues, Sue has specialized in documentaries on water conflicts throughout the West

Sue’s public television offering on Lake Tahoe also won an Emmy. THE FATE OF THE JEWEL details the perils facing one of the world’s most beautiful lakes. The program’s host, actor Bruce Dern, says, “I’m a serious history buff, and appreciated Sue’s ability to craft an accurate and, at the same time, compelling story. She dares to dream! Her work has heart. And she gets it right.”
Sue followed the Lake Tahoe program with yet another Emmy winner, HIGH STAKES AT THE SALTON SEA, hosted by actor Val Kilmer.

In 2012 Sue completed and self-published a novel based on the true story of America’s only female militia to ever face a battle. Her great grandmother, Addie Bull, was one of 46 women from LaGrange, Georgia who formed this military unit during the Civil War. The women were not looking for trouble. They just wanted to be ready if trouble came to them. It did. At the very end of the war more than 2-thousand troops marched on LaGrange but were stopped from their destructive mission on the edge of town by the Nancy Hart Militia with guns ready to fire. In 2023 Sue narrated this novel through ACX and it is available as an audiobook on Amazon along with the paperback and e-book titled The Nancies.
Sue’s inspirational story about her autistic brother won an honorable mention in the annual Writer’s Digest contest.
